Dum Duma Duma on Doordarshan Sahayadri on Feb 19 2009

Hi Friends,

We, students of Nrtyanjali participated and won the Bharatanatyam group dance competition in the reality show Dum Duma Dum. The episode featured on Doordarshan Sahayadri Channel on February 19, 2009. There were 4 different groups who participated. There were three rounds - Pushpanjali, Tillana and a theme which was given to us on the sets. Our theme was Viraha Khandita Nayika. Kudos to Rujuta, Pavitra, Riddhi, Amrita, Gayatri, Nisha, Ramya and of course Nandini. Our gratitude to our Guru Smt. Lata Rajesh for giving us this opportunity. The specially designed costume by Lata Rajesh Miss for this event was a hit ! A great moment and a very satisfying experience.

Nandini Ramachandar's Bharatanatyam Arangetram

A keen learner and a devoted student, Nandini was initiated into Bharatanatyam at the age of 6. She has been learning Bharatanatyam under the tutelage of the acclaimed dancer and teacher Smt. Lata Rajesh of Nrtyanjili. Nandini’s dedication to dance has helped her excel with distinction in the various exams of the Bharatiya Sangeet Samiti, Mumbai. She had the privilege of performing at various cultural and socio-religious events conducted by Nrtyanjili.
